The theme of the event revolved around energy security, energy transition, nurturing future talent, and innovative technology. This theme perfectly mirrored the rapid transformation taking place in the region as it adapts to the energy transition and strives for a brighter energy future.

For Fennex, SPE Offshore Europe 2023 was not merely an industry event; it was a historic moment that marked our debut in the world of industry conferences. It showcased our commitment to contributing to and participating in the pivotal shift towards a sustainable energy future.

Shaping the Future: Our Journey at SPE OE23 Panel Discussions

We had the privilege to contribute to a number of panel discussions during SPE OE23. Highlights included:

Nassima Brown, Director of Strategy at Fennex, joining a diverse panel of experts at the The National Decommissioning Centre in her capacity as a Board Director at Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group (AREG). The event, hosted by the University of Aberdeen and titled “Energy Integration: Competition, Consensus, and Collaboration,” was a gathering of profound insights and discussions on the challenges and opportunities surrounding energy integration in the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS).

Whilst Adrian Brown, Founder and Managing Director of Fennex, joined several esteemed panel speakers, in an event titled “Future Talent: Opportunities and Challenges in the Renewables Supply Chain.” The event hosted by Gordon McIntosh, the Director of Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group (AREG) and Chairman/Director of Aberdeen International Associates (AIA), delved into the future skill and talent requirements in relation to the renewables supply chain, discussing opportunities, new ways of working, and innovations to ensure we develop and retain talent and make the most of planned investments.
